Hey, I’m Kate
A registered social worker offering counselling in Squamish and virtually across BC.
Life can be complicated, and you don't have to navigate it alone. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, ADHD, the lasting effects of trauma or simply feeling stuck, therapy can offer a space to better understand yourself and move toward meaningful change. I work with youth, adults, and families with a compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental approach, helping clients develop insight, build on their strengths, and learn practical tools they can carry into everyday life.
About me
I've called the Sea to Sky corridor home for over 10 years and feel incredibly grateful to live and work in such a beautiful community. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me outside hiking, biking, or trying to keep up with my dog, Jude. Spending time in nature helps me feel grounded, connected, and reminds me of the importance of slowing down and finding balance in our busy lives.
I hold both Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees and have spent the past 13 years supporting youth, adults, and families across community mental health, child protection, crisis services, and alternative school settings. In addition to my private practice, I work with Vancouver Coastal Health's Youth and Young Adult Mental Health team, supporting individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, suicidality, and substance use.
My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, family conflict, and major life transitions. I also bring extensive experience supporting families navigating crisis, separation, divorce, and high-conflict dynamics through parent coaching and family-focused interventions.
My approach is warm, down to earth, and practical. I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely understood while also helping them identify patterns, develop new skills, and move toward their goals. I am not a therapist who simply listens and nods—I combine compassion with honest feedback, evidence-based strategies, and a focus on helping clients better understand themselves and the challenges they face.
As someone with lived experience of ADHD, I also understand the realities of navigating a world that isn't always designed for neurodivergent minds. Alongside counselling, I offer ADHD coaching and practical strategies tailored to individual strengths and needs.
Above all, I believe people are remarkably resilient. My role is to help you make sense of difficult experiences, build on your existing strengths, and create a life that feels more connected, fulfilling, and aligned with what matters most to you. I also believe that many of our deepest wounds occur within relationships, and that healing often happens there too. Through a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, we can explore old patterns, develop new ways of relating, and create space for growth, connection, and transformation.

Hey Jude!
Jude is my husky mix, adventure buddy, and unofficial wellbeing coach! Like most huskies, she's equal parts wild explorer and sensitive soul—always ready to chase a scent, investigate a trail, or remind me not to take life too seriously.
She keeps me grounded, gets me outside every day, and teaches me the value of patience, flexibility, play, and adventure. While Jude doesn't attend counselling sessions, she helps me stay balanced and shows up behind the scenes as an important part of my own wellbeing.
When she's not supervising my workday, you'll usually find her patrolling Squamish trails or campaigning tirelessly for extra treats.
