About me

I've called the Sea to Sky corridor home for over 10 years and feel incredibly grateful to live and work in such a beautiful community. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me outside hiking, biking, or trying to keep up with my dog, Jude. Spending time in nature helps me feel grounded, connected, and reminds me of the importance of slowing down and finding balance in our busy lives.

I hold both a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work degree and have spent the past 13 years supporting youth, adults, and families through some of life's most challenging moments. My experience spans alternative schools, child protection, community mental health, and crisis settings. My passion is helping people navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, family conflict, and major life transitions.

My approach is warm, compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I believe lasting change happens when people feel genuinely understood and supported. At the same time, I gently challenge the beliefs and patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I'm not a therapist who simply listens. I want clients to leave sessions feeling deeply understood while also gaining practical tools and insights that help them move forward. I am passionate about helping people make sense of complex situations, understand the systems and environments they exist within, and develop greater self-compassion by reducing self-blame and self-criticism.

I bring extensive experience supporting families experiencing crisis, conflict, separation, and divorce. I offer parent coaching and family-focused support to help caregivers navigate difficult transitions while prioritizing the wellbeing of their children and strengthening family relationships.

I also have lived experience with ADHD and understand firsthand the challenges of navigating a world that is not always designed for neurodivergent minds. Alongside therapeutic counselling, I provide ADHD coaching and practical support to help individuals better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and develop strategies that work for their unique brains.

In addition to my private practice, I work with Vancouver Coastal Health's Youth and Young Adult Mental Health team, supporting individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, suicidality, and substance use challenges.

Above all, I believe people are incredibly resilient. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, navigate difficult experiences, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful, connected, and aligned with who you are.

About Jude

Jude is my northern husky mix, adventure buddy, and unofficial wellbeing coach. Like most huskies, she's a walking contradiction—driven by curiosity, wildlife sightings, and the belief that every trail deserves to be explored, while also being incredibly gentle, sensitive, and attuned to the people around her.

She keeps me grounded in routines, gets me outside every day, and reminds me not to take life too seriously. Living with Jude has taught me patience, resilience, flexibility, and the importance of making room for play, silliness, and adventure.

While Jude doesn't attend counselling sessions, she plays an important role behind the scenes. By supporting my own mental health and wellbeing, she helps me show up as a more present, grounded therapist for my clients.

When she's not supervising my workday, you can usually find her patrolling Squamish trails, following a mysterious scent, or lobbying aggressively for treats.
